AS NZS 4777.1 – 2024 Edition – Grid connection of energy systems via inverters, Part 1: Installation requirements
AS NZS 4777 Part 1 specifies the electrical and general safety installation requirements for inverter energy systems (IES) that supply electric power at low voltage to an electrical installation connected to the grid.
AS NZS 4777.1 applies to the installation of Electrical Vehicle (EV) Supply Equipment for connection of electric vehicles that supply electric power at low voltage to an electrical installation connected to the grid.
This document also applies to the installation of inverters capable of operating in an alternative supply mode or independent supply mode at low voltage whether or not they are capable of supplying power toan electrical installation while connected to the grid.
This document is for low voltage systems with nominal values of 230 V/400 V that conform with AS IEC 60038 for Australia or IEC 60038 for New Zealand. This document may be used for low voltage installation of systems that may be connected to the grid at high voltage.
This document does not apply to inverter energy systems connected to dedicated high voltage systems with no local low voltage load.
This document does not apply to installation requirements for uninterruptible power supplies (UPS) that conform with AS 62040.1, AS IEC 62040.2 and AS IEC 62040.3.
